Bail Bonds
Working for Absolute Bail Bonds in California has put me in touch with some pretty interesting folks over the last 15yrs. I'm going to sit a while and think of some of the times and put them up as soon as possible.
Strange California laws
- Los Angeles County Laws It is illegal to set metal balloons afloat in the air.
- No person may charge admission to a house party.
- Norco Laws Vehicles may not contain sound systems which allow someone to hear noise outside the vehicle. However, this does not apply to a vehicle which is attempting to sell something.
- Pacific Grove Laws It is illegal to molest butterflies.
- Pasadena Laws It is illegal for a secretary to be alone in a room with her boss.
- Portola Laws One may not allow his or her dog to chase a squirrel in the summer.
- Prunedale Laws Two bathtubs may not be installed in the same house
Bail Bond stories
I'll share the first story that comes to mind. A woman called from jail to get a bail bond for herself. She was crying and upset (for obvious reasons) I asked what she had been charged with. The very emotional woman stated that she was being charged with, "cruelty to animals"....Ok I've had these calls before. This one had a twist.
I asked her to explain a little more so that I could understand what she was exactly in for. The woman began to explain that she was having problems and thought about committing suicide. Sooooo where does the animal come in? Well it turns out that she chose to use a handgun and missed.....that's where the poor animal comes in.
